Herbal Tea

Herbal tea is a so-called tisane or infusion. Just like tea, this hot drink is drawn from plants, which in this case largely consist of various herbs. Chamomile and Star Anise are examples of this.

Note: Licorice is often used in these mixtures and this can increase blood pressure. There are also other herbs that come from the same plant as some medicines (this does not happen often, but can affect the use of medication. Consult your doctor if necessary).

For herbal teas it is generally recommended to infuse it with sparkling boiling water and let it soak for at least five to ten minutes. It really can't get too strong.
