Attention to Detail

The intricate hand painted detail combined with the expertise and time taken over each teapot guarantees the unique flavour of the Teapottery teapots. Using fine brushes, the paint is added to the small items that complete the scene of teapot: the cakes on the Aga stove, the flat-caps of the removal men, or the ducks beak.

Off to their second firing, the teapots look unimpressive. A layer of glaze is added, which will bring out a shine to the finished teapot. For now, it just looks dull. But lurking beneath is a palette of brilliant colours, waiting to develop during the second firing.
